1.I dont understand why people use melee armor in Barrows,when they dont get magic bonus,they loose magic attack instead (and they use slayer dart most likley from what i've seen)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Do they use melee all the time and ranged just occasionally?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I wonder how this work? how do they switch?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.What do you think about using chaos gloves from family creast instead of slayer staff since i dont have lvl 55 slayer. Is using fire bolts that hit 15 economical in ur oppinion/do you get more of death or chaos runes?

The barrow brothers have a very low magic def, thus all magic attacks nearly always hit regardless of your magic attack bonus. That is why many wear melee armour for barrows. You still hit and have good protection.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sometimes verec's is used to melee the brothers, but you will need high lvl melee stats.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fire bolt + chaos gaunts will work ok.

if you can afford ahrims, use ahrims, if not melee amour will be the next on the list

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

barrow brother hit hard, a good melee amour can save you food and the need for protect from melee at veracs, guthans and torags

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

range amour and weapon should be used at ahrims, because unlike the other brothers, he has very high magic level and you will miss miserably

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

for food, potato with cheese is the lowerest cost food item that can be used

 

 

 

48 construction (with tea) can further reduce cost by alter and portals

 

 

 

fairy rings can reduce cost also if you dont have 48 construction

People barrows in armour because the melee brothers (also sometimes people mage Karil) have low mage defence which was already explained, so even though your mage bonus is in the negatives you still hit them..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

People use slayer dart because you mostly get your runes back from the chest.. So most of the time you break even or more.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Only Dharok, Verac, Guthans, and Torags uses melee. Karil uses range and Ahrims uses mage.

The tea WILL Work, however the saw will not, since you don't use a saw to build rooms.

Ok people I see each of you tried to answer my topic in certain areas , BUT if you could post what you think about family creast gloves (makes fire bolt hit 15) , i ask this again for reason magic lvl is lower and i got significantly higher magic,and i think it will be about (lets say satisfying effect),almost same effect in comparation with slayer dart - which is MENT for barrows,I say.

Thing that concerns me is - Ive seen that loot is almost equaly offering chaos runes and death runes - now i need answer on this . Are death runes more often,or chaos runes more often, do you get more death runes or more chaos runes , and does it depend on killing monsters after u finish everything regulary (from what i've heard)

1. Chaos tend to appear in significant numbers, probably 1.5 times as many chaos and deaths.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. There is no way to "go infinite" with chaos runes. That is, you will not get enough chaos compared to what you spent. However, it is enough to make a profit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. If you get a kill count of 12 (kill 6 monsters in addition to the 6 brothers) You will get the most runes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The reason why bolting the brothers is not recommended is because you have to get additional runes (air or fire) which are not given in the chest. Howevevr, while slayer darting, you can get minds and deaths, and you won't need elemental runes.
