It is only for regular sets of metal armor. (See below Quote) you do know you need.. 68 smithing for mithril 88 for addy 99 for rune it doesn't work below that lvl ^^ Like he said, you need the smithing levels to make that armor before you can put it in, so you can make the armor yourself when you put it in. Also, the stairs can store Castlewars armor, which dosent require a smithing level to put in, but you do need certain peices. Hope that Helps.
