Thieving?

Featured Replies

Im currently 48 thieving and my short term goal is 70. Im tired of pickpocketing guards and master farmers so what are the alternatives? And what would be a good way to get to 70? Ive heard something about an underground cave in Burthorpe where you can pick safes? Is that good exp? All help appreciated.

Master Farmers are considered pretty good at this level.

At 51+ check out Pyramid Plunder minigame in the desert. It is the quickest Thieving exp from 51 till 99.

my self i say stick with guards till 55 then onto knights to 61 then use pyramid plunder to 99

Whats the suggested inventory for pyramid training?

If you don't want to spend money on either prayer or agility potions, I'd recommend the lightest armor you have that's still good (weight counts!), a few antipoisons (regular ones is fine), and the rest filled with cheap food (don't use anything more expensive than lobbies, tuna is good)

You won't be attacking, so weapon doesn't matter.

Live free or die. First option is exhausted, so guess what remains?

Ive just been to Pyramid Plunder, now using swordies, I didnt last very long at all and seamt to get poisoned more than looting things. So wasnt really worth while, is there any alternative?

Underground place in buthrope is Rouges Den. Ive never used it so im not sure about it. I hear they have this course or something needs 50 theiveing and agility and there some safes that might be connected to it.

Get me a whopper!

master farmers are good exp and can give you seeds that can help you lvl farming and make money. as soon as you hit 51 you should try pyramid plunder. at first i was a bit skeptical of this way, but now i completely love it. it is fun and my personal best record for only up to lvl 61 is 8.5k exp in 5 mins. it blows pickpocketing out of the water in terms of speed and enjoyment.

I would say stick with guards until 55. It shouldn't be too long and if food is a problem, set your respawn point to Falador and thief there. When you die just run out of the castle and start thieving again.

At level 55, I suggest you try luring/blackjacking bandits in Pollnivneach (do The Feud quest if you haven't already). You could lure/blackjack all the way to 70 if you wanted, switching to Menaphites at level 65. Or you could use Pyramid Plunder from 61-70.

Pyramid Plunder

Make sure you have a snake charm.

When you are in the different rooms, RIGHT CLICK and select check for snakes

Then RIGHT CLICK again and select CHARM SNAKE (only works if you have a snake charm in inventory. You dont need the basket)

You will be successful a lot more often and require anti poison and food a lot less.
