August 7, 200718 yr Okay, so I got this email: I'm a bit reluctant to click on that link. Might give me a virus or something. I never really been to this website so I think they're trying to snag details off me. Where can I report this? Ultra Unholy,Hearted Machine...
August 7, 200718 yr Thats what we call Phishing. (note the spelling) Its an attempt to steal login information. that link goes to a scam site its a cheap trick at trying to mask the true url instead of saying "Click Here" they place the address of the site they are trying to impersonate. ~Dan64AuSince 27 Aug 2002
August 7, 200718 yr Bank of America is a pretty common base for phishing emails. Good thing you didn't click that link. If you'd like to report it to them you can foward the email you got to [email protected] so they can work on cleaning it up. You can read this page if you want to confirm the email address to send to just in case.
August 7, 200718 yr You can try forwarding it to the Bank of America but it seems to me that in my experience they don't really care that much. I have reporting scammers to Google using their GMail service, Paypal phishers, Citibank and eBay and the only decent response I ever got was from eBay. Your best bet is to submit it to a phishing logger who then forward the details onto the relevant people who hopefully listen a little more. http://www.us-cert.gov/nav/report_phishing.html http://www.antiphishing.org/ Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape.
