No Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection...

Featured Replies

There's no Nintendo Wi-Fi connection near me, isn't it possible to get one via computer, or something?

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Nintendo doesn't provide people with a wi-fi connection. You need to have your own wireless one. Get a wireless router or you can buy a usb dongle thing from Nintendo's site.

They do provide free Wi-Fi connections in some EB Games places in Australia, atleast. #-o but, do I have to buy the thing over the internet?

No, go to a store that has Wii and DS stuff and you will be able to buy it, its like 37$. You need a computer with highspeed internet, and XP.

I know my computer has XP, but, not sure about speed. It holds 80 Gig, and has used 20-40 gig.

Im guessing wii wifi is abit like xbox live degraded.

So by fast internet it would be a company that can hold xbox live.

For Nintendo WiFi, all you need is a wireless router in your home and you should be good. But if you don't have one and don't want to spen money on one, you can get the USB adapter. I don't think it's available in stores though, you have to order it online.

I went to hell and back trying to get my home Wi-Fi connection to work. If you need any information at all, just PM because I know everything there is to know about the Nintendo Wi-Fi system, as well as routers.

If you go there good things will transpire.

I haven't tried, my bro has a Wii, but you can get a free wireless router at http://www.fon.com/ (It says "buy" but the price is actually a promotional zero dollars unless things have changed)

The catch? They want you to join their community (they want to build market share in wireless connections or something) :P I submit a free order and it came in 3 weeks, so it's worth a try since it doesn't cost a penny...

The router works just fine for a laptop, not sure about a Wii. Should try it.

Yeah, thought so. So it's not a standalone connection...
