dark_ice Posted February 19, 2005 Share Posted February 19, 2005 Well Im guessin you havent figured out how to surface map but thats ok cuz thats the hardest part IMO. The atmosphere is way to red. The water isnt too smooth, jus reduce the wave size. Also you may try the different types of waters and find whcih you like the best. The island looks sorta outta place jus cuz its juttin up with no surrounding small islands or anything. Thats about it. A little mountain and some messed up one right in the front. - The runescape guy doesn't fit in. at all. Don't try. at all. Its just.... eww. - There is no surface map. 3 days with this program and you can't even do that? Look at their website for more info on them, i realy don't feel like going in depth tonight about something simple. - As i said, nothing is goin on. at least have a render where it isn't just a crappy mountain and one in the forground too. It just doesn't work out, and looks very poor. You always want to aim for semi-realisim. and that my freind is not realisim. - on another note, the atmosphere is... odd. Its not bad, but its not good. Its basicly just a red'ned sky, nothing big. - The water also in my eyes seems basic. Infact, it looks realy bad with all the waves that realy don't look much like waves. of course, the way that your whole scene just gets cut off doesn't look very good either. even in the right-middle edge of the water you can clearly see where the water just ends. at least put some mountains there to color up that spot *shudders* - Now, i cant realy give much more, because i can only tell you the basic's right now.. which you still havent seem to gotten. Post another image when you have a proper terragen scene instead of trying to do a quick little render and stick a rsc , or any picture, in it, because it just doesn't look good. EDIT: you said you can "post your own scenes if you want" So just so you don't think i don't know what i'm talking about, heres a few: http://www.deviantart.com/view/15118493/ I have alot more... but those are probaly my 2 fav's, or close to my 2 fav's. This is especially true in the US, etc. But the Bible shows a rather wide array of postures. Also, since we are to pray continually, prayer can take any posture, as seen above. People were praying while being stoned, in the belly of a whale etc. So if he wants it to be praying, let it be :) I think it is a decent enough start. Try working with some less severe atmospheres to avoid the purples and reds. They can be great,, but they take a while to learn. Incidentally, that is not an rs char is it?
