Americans and their grades.. Here in Austria grades hardly matter. It's more about "passed" or "not passed".

I think this is a British grading system. But same goes for Russian schools, except there's "failed" "pass" and "exceptional."

the russians are the best! Hands down!

That is true here also, but PASS has been expanded to contain levels of achievment, Graded A-E. All grades A-E are reguarded as a pass and will gain a certificate. A fail obviously needs no expansion, and is marked with a U (for Unclassified) and gains no certificate.

Just opened the slip from coming back from holiday, and I'm over the moon! :D

AS Levels:

Modern History: (a) A,A,A

Maths: (a) B,A,A

Chemistry: (a) A,A,A

Biology: (B) A,A,C

So yeah, I'll be doing the Biology test again next January during my A2 year. ::'

Still, a UMS of 269/300 in Modern History's pretty good going. Great teacher. :)

And congrats Baron! Holy cow!

They have a point though. If I was to take Maths at Degree level I'd be doing stuff like Imaginary Numbers... my Dad was doing that in his AS year. The fact so many As are acheived wehn only the top 5% are supposed to achieve them is kinda worrying. In fact, it actually makes our grades obsolete.
