August 18, 200718 yr It's also worth noting that Firewire actually takes less system resources to shuffle data around than USB. The reason for this is that USB is all done in software so to actually move data the CPU does most of the work, where as Firewire it's mainly done with hardware. Reminds me of when modems became cheap and a lot of them had problems on low end PCs as they were software modems. If you did anything that required a lot of CPU, the modem would disconnect :lol: [Assist-X]
