Level 27-63 Hunter? *ANSWERED I'll make a new one for 63+ XD

Featured Replies

What's the best way to get to 63 hunter (which then I will obviously hunt red chins) from 27? I will have already done the Eagle's Peak's quest, so I can catch ferrets.. In most of the (Tip.It) Hunter guides, the authors all suggest ferrets at level 27, swamp lizards at lvl 29, falconry (kebbits) at level 43, orange salamanders at level 47 and then red salamanders at lvl 59. Should I follow this order, or are there certain creatures that I should skip?

that order sounds pretty good, see how you go, i personally did falconry up to 63,

Best of luck

I did tropical wagtails till 43 and then falconry and chinchompas to 63. Along the way I tried all other ways a bit just for fun but those were my main training activities.

In general almost any hunter method is fast (except for tracking).

As Vaskor said, i did Wagtails from the lvl you can hunt them until 43, then from there do falconry, costs 500 coins for as long as you want (Until you leave the game).

Its the fastest and rewarding way, the amount of bones is unbelievable.

I'm currently at 57 hunting which took me from 43-57 like several hours or something, was not long.

Just stick in there and you will be there in no time.

Have fun hunting mate :)

I'd say to Tropical Wagtails (lvl 19) til 32, then swamp lizards til 50, then orange lizards til 54, then reg chinchompas til 64. Then, well, duh red chins to 99. Thats how I did it, and got from 26-65 in four days DURING the school year.

I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Comped 4/30/15

OK, so there are varied opinions about this - falconry or salamanders?

I'd rather do [bleep]y Keppits.

I think what is happening is that every players tries falconry or salamanders and ends up using one of these ways till red chinchompas. Both ways are fast, so if you try it - you gonna like it and would defend it as the fastest way, while in reality I think they are close to each other.

In any case it is very easy to get to 63 using either of these ways.

Well, thanks for the replies, I will probably hunt swamp lizards until I am level 43, which I then will use a falcon :). But, does this mean at lvl 43, I will get less exp per hour than at 57 and 69 because I can only hunt spotted kebbits and not dark or dashing kebbits?

Also, should I wear any special hunting equipment when doing falconry to increase my chance is a catch, such as Lapuria with chins?

Main rule in falconry is to NEVER try to catch kebbits that are more than 1-2 steps away from you. The reason is that if your falcon misses it will have pretty long time to return to you. So only catch kebbits which are close to you.

Regarding equipment, I didn't bother really with dressing up. But I wouldn't be surprised that the proper camo would help a little bit.
