NACHO
We made a sig shop with these and nobody seemed interested so we must be doing something wrong. I would greatly appreciate it you could comment on these or give a C/C. Please give contructive critisism but don't flame. (don't just say "those suck" without reasoning for it or ways to improve) They are in order from first to latest.
s00pr
They seem nice to me , maybe try a different prize or something?
Lord_Maras
well i have to go really soon so i think just for the first one shade the ground... cause you seemed to shade everythign else except the ground... its just flat and has no rocks or anything.... http://www.rampid.org
Adam007
You could try adding more texture to the ground also - it seems plain in contrast to everything else. Your pixel sigs might not be selling well though because demand for em in general might just be going down.
The_Jeppoz
THOSE SUCK !!! 8) 8) 8) Sorry i couldn't help myself lol... Well seriously speaking i think they'r pretty nice overall. One thing i could point out is that you can't manage to give the right depth field to your sigs. I.E the first one has no real BG. The second one is probably the worst under this point of view since the faraway mountains seem on the saim plain of the foreground hill...plus the bg castle is shaded while the mountains are not...realy hard for the eye to find out the right infos in that pic. The 3rd and 4th have the opposite problem...You have an infinite orizon...that's actualy impossible in RL. You'll always have a hill...a river...or something changing the shape of the orizon or...more likely, covering it after a certain distance. It's always wise to add something in the distance that somehow cuts the depht field to a specific point....having the eye running to the infinite gives a realy odd result to me. Another hint i could give you is to texture anything in your pics. It's realy odd to see something well detailed and textured standing in a world that lacks of any kind of texture...it's like taking a pic of Batman in one of his films and sticking it on a DC comic...The result would be a mess for the eye, if you get what i mean. Last but not least i'd say your sigs lack of a "soul"...or, in other words, a storyline/concept. Don't get me wrong, illustration sigs are still good but i think that in your pool of sigs you should reserve to those just a small room, mainly to show ppl how nicely your drawing skills improved. The rest should be concept sigs imo. Buyers prefer full personalized sigs and you must match their tastes as much as you can. Funny concepts sell way faster/higher than illustrated sigs :) KEEP IT UP !
NACHO
Thank you everyone for your comments. Jeppoz, are you saying that the sigs need more of a storyline than just someone standing there looking at a hydra? my friends idea for one was to make it like a first person, you can see like a bow and your arm, then having someone charging with a battleaxe. I think this idea will make it a more interesting sig.
evorr
make the faces of people better, and do it first person or up close, cuz people dont want their characters really small in their sigs, nice shading though
