WC Question

I'm currently cutting regular logs and I have 14 wc. When should I switch over to oaks? and than when for willows? And than when for yews?

a good rule of thumb is 15 levels higher than the level it requires. So normals to 25, oaks to 45, willows to 70, yews 70+.

For Oaks, maybe 20? Willows I would say 40, yews at 70.

Okay thanks guys! I think I'll do reg until 20 and than maybe do the 15+ thing, as I can chop willows at a pretty good speed. ( :shock: ) at level 16.

switch to oaks at 15.. you'll lvl up very fast at those levels.

Here's when I would switch to a different tree.

 

 

 

Oaks: 21 woodcutting where you can buy a mithril axe. It comes down with a real fast pace with a mithril axe.

 

 

 

Willow: 41 woodcutting for woodcutting because at 41, you unlock the ability to use the rune woodcutting axe and is probably the only axe that you can really do some bussiness with willows. With other axes, it comes down at a quite slow pace and you wuld struggle with it with all the higher levels chopping.

 

 

 

Yews: 75-80+ woodcutting: At this level, willows should come down quite fast with your rune axe, so it is a very good training tool as it comes down fast and you get a decent exp of 67.5 per log. Once you hit 75, you could start yews, but you might still struggle with it as yews are naturally a hard tree. At 80+ woodcutting, the pace of yew logs will come down within a reasonable pace (1 per 3-5 seconds).

For oaks and willows there's no point in waiting till your a higehr level then you need to be. As soon as you're lvl 15, switch, oak is much better then normal logs.

 

Once at 30, go to the 3 willow in rimmington, you'll be alone so it's easyer to get the logs, stay there till like 35-40ish, then go to draynor.

 

 

 

When at rimmington you can either drop all your logs or sell them to the general store, it's pretty fast since your alone.

I think the 15+ level is a little high. I like what smackapotato said. but don't go to yews to train, only go there for desperate money. its terrible xp, and even worser combined with autoers
