Where is the best place to chop yews?

Where is the best place to chop down yews?

Since edge-ville has the nearest bank, does that make that the best place to cut? :-k

I find the best place east of Catherby, as there are around 4 yews with Catherby bank very close. If you are F2P, then Egeville is probably your best choice.

Retired Tip.It Crew Mapper.

Well there are 3 main spots that I can say people enjoy cutting yews quickly.

1- Seers. The bank isn't to far from the yews and there are 3 of them there so why not.

2- Catherby (a bit west of cath bank, right beneath the flax field). This is also a decent area with a bank not to far and a good amount of yew trees in close conjunction. 5 or 6 if I am not mistaken.

3- Edgeville. The bank is the closest to yews that I know of and its not a bad place to cut. Especially if your in a crowded world with noone else cutting there. I have loaded up in a couple minutes that way (93 wc)

There is also another place thats popular in F2P and thats south of fally east bank. Right outside the southern wall there is 2 or 3 yews kind of close together, but the bank is the furthest away. The other spots mentioned are closer to banks.

Now in my own personal opinion, I prefer Seers. It can be crowded at times, but I like the yews that close together.. I have tried the ones in cath, and they were very crowded. However recently I have been cutting in Edgeville trying to find a full world with 1 or 2 other players cutting there.

Its all a matter of preference, hope I could help.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

Another good p2p spot is the tree gnome stronghold. There's 3 yews just outside the bank.

I generally cut yews at two places. (I'm f2p :P)

1. Edgeville: Close to a bank and not too much autoers. But if you're a low level woodcutter, this may be a little of a struggle as many members ranging from upper 80s-99 woodcutting and even I struggle to cut there sometimes.

2. South of Falador Gate: This is probably the second closest yew patch to a bank in f2p. There are 3 trees spread along the line and not too many high level woodcutters cut there. But the exception is there are some autoers walking around the trees auto-cutting.

3. Seer's Village (Members): If you're a member, then a great location to cut yews is Seer's Village. There are 3 respawns in the little area in front of the altar that is almost right outside of the bank.

I hope this helps. :)

Where is the best place to chop down yews?

Since edge-ville has the nearest bank, does that make that the best place to cut?

This is always an interesting question...

Interesting because if there really were a best place to cut yews

it would (probably) be quickly over-run with autoers and legitimate choppers.

After all, if it's the "best" place then everyone else would also use it...

... And then the overcrowding would probably ruin it.

But then if it's ruined as the best place then people would stop using it.

and then it's not so bad anymore so people start to use it again...

Anyway, if you go to the official Jagex RS homepage and take a look at the

world map, then you will see that you can flash the

locations of all of the "rare" trees in Rs.

In the F2P world, that will flash the locations of all 23 F2P yew trees.

Go and visit those "flashed" locations and see if you can find one that works well for you.

For example, there's a yew tree in the Lumby graveyard and 3 near

the Earth altar. There are 4 yews NW of Rimmington and 1 next to the NE Varrock church.

Even a few between Draynor Village and Lumby.

The Edgeville ones are popular. So are the Varrock palace ones.

Even the trees near the Fally south entrance.

Members have even more places to choose from.

Hope this helps
