which type of lag is the worst, most infuriating, most annoying?

Lol you actually made it look like it was a big deal. I dont know for the Rockshell plate but Dragon gloves and Neitiznot helm can be bought back from shop really cheap.. You can make twice the needed cash in an hour easilly

Rockshell plate is probably very hard to find a seller, and dragon gloves are 130k. Id say hes looking at around a 300k loss there, or more.

Oh yeah. RS has been laggier these days. Walking peacefully... everybody freeze. Half a minute later... walking, with different people everywhere. Making Iron Kite (I know...), click... Connection Lost. Jagex needs to do something on the servers.

Lag = almost invariably your own fault.

 

 

 

And I know how irritating it an be, recently moved home and my connection is shocking, but its nothing to do with Jagex and they certainly dont need to do anything to the servers.

anybody know what the root cause of lag is?

 

 

 

 

 

the prople at karoo (my isp, i cant get any other :evil: ) said today that they cannot diagnose the problem after my dad said on the phone to them we have slow connection :wall: :wall:

 

 

 

my net went ok for around an hour earlier

 

but then turned laggy again....

 

 

 

the nerds at karoo were playing mahjong -.-

Since the opening of the God Wars Dungeon, many people go there in search of fortune and power. So many GWD clans are made, thus the servers at JAGeX have to work really hard. Not only do they have to send and receive so many data, the number of players on such a small scale is also adding to this. Like world 1 Varrock bank.

The internet service is experiencing problems. Like here when the whole city, the CAPITAL, was without internet for 4 days. Atleast those who have SIOL, meaning almost everybody.

It's called closing down your iTunes downloads and deleting all useless junk off of your computer.

My internet is broadband, my computer has 75GB of space (14GB used), don't have anything open when playing RS... I guess it's my connection. It was good before; I'm starting to notice it's becoming really bad. 4 hours for a 165MB download?

Lag is bad, but its the price you pay when playing any MMORPG. Having a good internet connection can help, and also not running any virus or spyware scans WHILST playing RS. Remeber to scan often though.
