September 1, 200718 yr They're both lanterns that are created during the course of quests. You'd be better off just taking a piece of glass and making the lense. September 1, 200718 yr To make sapphire lantern you have to do Tears Of Guthix quest, for emerald one you get it while doing Lunar Diplomacy quest, to get a normal one you have to make bullseye lantern and add the glass lens
September 1, 200718 yr yeah, its just a cut sapphire. wether this bothers you or not, im not sure, but i found using the sapphire lantern the light was kind of dim. i tried the normal lense and it was wayy brighter. it is definitely worth the time (which isnt much at all really, buy from charter people) to make a normal lense.

Yes, indeed sapphire lantern doesn't bright too much, if you go to a cave with sapphire lantern and then with emerald/normal you will see that emerald/normal bright better so you can see more
