Mage Trainging [F2P]

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am lvl 36 training on the lesser in Mage Tower. I have another 5321 Firestrike casts and I was wondering what level that will get me to and what to train on after that. I wanna keep it kinda cheap but i dont like the failed curses or whatever. Defence lvl 3

you could alch steel plates or green d hide bodies, tele grab zammy wines, or cast enchants on your jewellery. all of those require no combat, but if you want combat spells, just atk lessers in the volcano in one of the safespots.

I imagine when you say level 36, you mean 36 mage, not combat. Even if all of your casts fail you will attain a magic level of 52. Judging by your training method I would guess that you are F2P.

As for magic training on F2P, Geesch suggested some of the most effective ways in the post above. These methods are effective because with most of them you can attain a profit for selling the goods you casted the spell on. Aside from that, splashing stat changing spells, and low level magic spells are the most effective for the cash you pay. If you like you could stick with strikes, or even move up to high alchemy at 55 magic. If you like mining and smithing, then Superheating ores can be very effective, and you can even make a profit selling the bars.

Any of these are very good ideas, but it is ultimately up to you to decide what method you would like to use. Good luck, mage training as a free player can be annoying until you ultimately decide what you want to do. Just take some time and consider your options.

So say i hit with half my spells whats an estimate on what lvl i would make and i might become a member after lvl 55 magic and lvl 40 range and lvl 60 in all combat skills and lvl 40 in all noncombat skills so i can just train to lvl99 in members and do some quests.

If i go the alching way and i have the steel bars and i buy my nats will i make a profit or break even i might go the enchanting way maybe. I kinda start to make a profit because this deal to lvl 55 has cost me like 200k :[

Thanks for your help guys

Training mage will always cost money unless you get really lucky with buying alchs (Or making your own in P2P). The best training methods have already been posted.

i understand it will cost but will the nats cost more than the 1.2k you get when you alch the steel bodies.
