Need help with mining (Woodcutting to)

Hmm, I've made about.. 20 of these posts before in the past, about mining help. I'm currently 80 mining. I don't have patience, and i want 85 mining. I want to bank ALL my ores though, and i only play... 3 hours a day MAX. I REALLY dnt want to mine coal, mith or addy. Iron i think would be my best bet, but i don't like to powermine, (Get bored after 5 mins).

 

 

 

I'm F2P, so where is a good, non-crowded, close to bank iron mining site? I don't like Al-Kharid, and the only good one i can think of is ABOVE Al-Kharid. I know how long this would take, but by te time im 85, I'll have 25k+ of iron ore for sum nice money... (I've never had over 1M in cash haha)

 

 

 

This is an impossible task for me, but with my 'determination', I'm sure its possible.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Right, now to woodcutting. I'm 76 woodcutting, i have no goal for levels, just the ammount I'll cut. How long would 10k willows take? Thats all i want to know lol. (That is also the 3 hour MAX to)

There are no non-crowded Iron mines in F2P. Dwarven Mine would probably be your best bet

For Mining, I like Varrock east mine. Usually the people mining there are using steel or lower picks, so you can win every time.

 

 

 

And as for the woodcutting, i used to cut about 500 willows an hour. I never really kept track, talk a lot, and was usually in a crowded world. So you can probably cut more than that, but idk.

With 76 Woodcutting, I'd think it'd take around.. 20-ish hours for 10k Willows? Maybe less, but then again maybe more.

If you think about your question for a moment,

 

then you'll realise that you're kinda asking for the impossible.

 

 

 

What can make iron spot crowded is its closeness to a bank.

 

If it's good for you then it will be good for everyone else also

 

and, hence, ruin its 'non-crowdedness'.

You could do a bit of investigation here.

 

Look at the Tip It page on mining locations.

 

They have all of the F2P mining sites listed as well as the ore found there.

 

Then, go and visit those places and do some test mining.

 

Then decide what, when, and where works best for you.

 

Sometimes players don't want to tell the world about their "great" spot.

 

After all, won't advertising their favorite place "ruin" it?

 

 

 

You have to mine, at most, about 35000 ore so it's probably worth a bit of walking to find the best place that you can.

 

 

 

That being said, Varrock East is close to a bank.

 

With 80 mining and a rune pic you may be able to get the ore first most of the time.

Another possibility is to just power mine Iron to get to 85 as quickly as possible.

 

Then you'll only need about 9 full loads of runite ore to "buy back"

 

all of the iron ore that you dropped. :-k

 

 

 

'Course, with that kind of money you will probably just want to buy steel

 

bars instead of iron ore and coal.

It's boring mostly.

 

I got to 85 using those 3 Al-Kharid rocks.

 

Just get a pair of headphones and a good CD to make it tolerable.

That depends if you drop, sell, or bank them.

 

 

 

A very, very rough estimate is 16.6 hours.

 

That's 1 effective willow log every 6 seconds.

 

That estimate includes dropping the logs instead of banking or selling them.

 

 

 

You can always do a cutting time experiment and see for yourself.

 

Time how long it takes to cut and drop a full inventory.

 

Then, extrapolate to 10000

 

 

 

I always liked cutting south of Rimmington since it's peaceful and

 

there are a lot of trees available along the coast.

Hmm, i have looked at all the posts, and i gues Goobore is right, i should just powermine.

 

 

 

The ting is I'm never really 'bothered' after 10 minutes, i hate it. Cause i just feel doing the same thing for 2 weeks is to long for me. I MIGHT be getting members again, depending on if i decide to spend some more time on the computer (due to a broken leg) or try to get fit again.

 

 

 

I roughly know what to do now, as Al-Kharid mine seems to be clear on member worlds, empty or full. For willows at Draynor is easy to, and I'm sure i can get 1.5-2k in 3 hours.

I, personally, would think willows first, because the mining i can go full out on, in the weekend!
