Hi again.. some may have seen that i'm back after a period of time, because of vacation, school and some hobby's that took alot of time.

 

 

 

Well about this piece: i haven't work with photoshop for about 2/3 months i think, so i had to discover all the tools again :P A friend asked me for banner that would fit his site and the only thing he gave me was the render that is on this piece and a colorscheme: dark blue/green.

 

 

 

so after about 30 mins of work:

 

 

 

V1 (not to good quality but animated):

C/C please, and no i haven't used brushes if u start about that -.-

It's too empty. All I see is black and then the render in the middle. The text on the right is cool though.

I like V1 better :oops: V2 is too dark for my liking, I feel like I can't see anything. It makes the whole image look too empty. Whereas the first one is brigher and exposes more of the image, which is nice. It actually gives you something to look at. And the animation is nice too :P

ty for the fast comments and the c/c : and i already thought that V1 would be better because of the brighter colours. I'll make try to make a V3 tomorrow.

V1 is much better IMO. The animation effects on the text really make it stand out, and make the image more lively. Looks much better. The bottom one just looks dull without the animated text.

 

 

 

Though both of them look some-what empty. :o

 

 

 

7/10 for the top one.

A banner which is made full off effects isn't always the best one. I would say this one has the most effect that you can put on a banner to make it look good. I just can't find anything bad from this. If I had to pick something up, I would recommend you to move the text to the middle. But that's my opinnion.

thanks, and i'm making a V3 atm, and for a chance i can place the text in the center to let you see how that would look :wink:

also anny suggestions about the border? or is this good enough?

 

 

 

EDIT: added a V3, i haven't done to much to it, but (i hope) u can see the border is a bit lighter on some places, so u know its around 3 of the 4 sides of the header. Also i have added the letters RB to it somewhere.. the one who finds it gets a cookie :P

It looks pretty good, but maybe space out the scan lines and lower the opacity.

The new one is the best, but I would still prefer the V2
