ok my mage is 50 \ i was wondering if i should do desert treasure once i get 53 thieving or should i train it up higher to like... 60 or something around there or 66 for swan song.

i would definitely get higher, 70 would be perfect. good luck :)

I'd say get 60ish because being able to use all the blast spells is helpfull in the quest.

The only mage requirement for DT is 50. However, using blast spells can make some of the boss battle alot easier.

You can do mage training arena.

 

Take lots of cosmics and camp out in the enchanters area
