First work in awhile. Be kind, I'm tender.

Well, as I said in an earlier post, I had an idea on a peice, but as usual I didn't even follow it to the slightest detail.

Instead I went from an excerpt of a short poetry "thing/peice/something-that-belongs-on-a-napkin" that I wrote.

If it isn't in your veins, you'll never know.

I don't like the green-on-green that's going on. Maybe a different background. Maybe even a different color for the brush marks. I'm not really seeing much in it otherwise.

I said I was tender, damn you :P

Thanks for the comment. I suppose it could use a bit more color, instead of different tones of greens and blacks.

its pretty good, i like it, im a starter at sigs myself...8/10 from me!

So what are we meant to see there?

I can force myself to see a tree maybe....

Too woolly methinks. Needs to be something recognisable in there or at least some definite theme.

"What are you supposed to see?"

Short answer: Whatever the hell you want.

Jesus, did you guys go and forget what abstract is? Abstract art, IMHO, is whatever you see in it.

Things have changed.

If it isn't in your veins, you'll never know.

Yes they have. . This ...hm...is not bad, but it just doesn't grab the eye. And even the early abstract artists were usually hoping to convey something. In my opinion many of them were showing base compositional principles through an illustration without recognizable content.

This on the other hand looks kind of like a tree. ....kind of not....and doesn't really leap out at a person. I don't mind the green on green though. Actually if you went on to make it a tree I might enjoy it more. I actually like the green on green, has a nice lighting effect.

Welcome back by the way. Hope you stick around a bit.

Incidentally you missed the Media Board Revolution.....might want to read up :)

I really like it!! It gets a 9/10 for me. I'm not a big fan of the text though.

i like it because its not hard to look at... and the colours blend nicely toghether... as one of my old art teatchers once to my go with the flow

Wow....well, that sheds some light on it.

Looks like the abstractedness in here needs a jumpstart....hell, an enima. I suppose I better pull up my sleeves and get to work around here.:P

If it isn't in your veins, you'll never know.

Hurts my eyes... I agree with most of the above points.... Just doesn't seem to be anything recognizable; and therefore special. For some reason green things hurt my eyes...

(my eyes hurting has nothing to do with your talent)

yes because if we all look at your sig long enough it starts looking like a plastic pony eating a rubber chicken.... its called abstract man....

ok on the sig... it looks nice but it needs a spark... something in the sig that really brings it out... i cant really describe it.. im pretty sure you know what i mean...
