Need a simple answer regarding Enchanting at MTA

Featured Replies

Hi, a quick question for you folks. I am just wondering how much average exp per hour I could receive power-enchanting using Onyx Enchant at the Mage Training Arena?

Thanks :) .

Not sure exactly, but a lot. It's apparently one of the best ways to get mage experience, but there's more clicking then just stunning, high alching, or teleporting.

Cowards can't block Warriors.

I'm not sure how much xp an hour you can get, but you can test it out.

The Onyx Enchantment gives 97 xp normally, but in the MTA, enchanting gives only 3/4 of the xp. So with this, you'll be getting 72.75 xp per enchantment.

To test it out, take a couple hundred cosmics and go there, and cast for some amount of time like 10 minutes. Then calculate that amount of xp by 6 to get your xp per hour.

Also if you do test it out, take into consideration if you were to be talking with friends or something that would be distracting, so go at your normal rate, not a hardcore, "must do" kind of rate.

Good luck! I have heard this is better than alching (best in the game besides the old PC I believe too, so maybe best now?).

Alas, I would if I could. I'm currently a poor non-member, getting up his magic by high alchemy. However, when I turn member, I'll be fire bolting steel dragons to 99 magic (from 95). I hear fire bolts at steel drags earn 30k to 40k magic experience per hour (on top of hp and prayer), yet this is a rather slow way to go to 99. As an alternative, I'm interested in something like one metal drags trip, then 1 hour at MTA, repeat, etc, to keep me on my toes and make my trip to 99 magic slightly faster.

Any definite comment on how much exp one could earn per hour enchanting with the onyx spell at MTA would be appreciated so I could factor in the time needed for my magic cape. ::'

I would estimate that you can probably make 1k enchantments an hour roughly.

So maybe 65-80k xp an hour?

Anywhere in there would probably be it, I'd say to be more specific, 70-75k an hour. So this seems as if it's the fastest method in the game.

yup its really fast...i used it to train from 87 to 94 mage...took about 1 week or so cause i didnt do it the whole day but did other stuff too. dont bother getting the dragonstones on the floor or the bonus shape cause by the time you got 94 mage i assure you you will have more than reached the max number of pizazz point (16k) you should be able to get a small amount of death and bloods too to help you barrage once you get 94 mage ;)

maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cooking

life may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?

my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
