JamieMcMe
Would it be possible to string bowstrings to a high crafting level? Would this be an ok idea and make a decent profit? or is it the worst idea ever? Sig by me :D1337 total as of 3/2/08 at 14 : 52 GMT. ikraz66
It's possible. Lots of people do it. Its just mind numbingly slow... Proud owner of a Quest cape!
viral_wulf
Would it be possible to string bowstrings to a high crafting level? Would this be an ok idea and make a decent profit? or is it the worst idea ever? I just went and plugged some random numbers into the tip.it crafting calc. I entered 30,000 for current crafting experience. This put me at level 37. I entered 50 for the target level. To attain this level, I would have to spin 4756 bowstrings. It would take 16250 bs to get 60 craft. 47176 to get 70. I can easily buy flax for 70ea and can easily sell bs for 180ea. This is a 110 profit per bowstring. There are definitely quicker ways to level crafting, but this method is brainless and profitable. Spin some flax and time yourself and then decide whether the time it would take to achieve your desired lvl is too daunting or not. The timing of this post is funny. This kid is always asking me for free arrows so instead I bought him 2k flax. I was hoping that he would spin the flax into bs, sell, and then buy more flax or use the money to make even more money. He sold the flax.
Outhit
I got my crafting lvl just because i fletched alot, what you can see on my 99 fletching hehe, but yes it is a good idea but kinda slow. Ranked as RS 3rd best Fogger of all times by Fog Elite, and is proud of it :)
Bashful
it used to be much better when bs were at 200ea.. then i got flax frm mtk at 40ea. spin and sell. now with the lower prices i think its only worthwhile if you plan on using those bs for fletching. spinning at lumbridge is pretty fast.. abt 1.5k flax per hour. jamessweet60
just an idea maby y should fletch/string the bow strings to maple or better than alch emm. that would work better than only 110% profit . cause y can nature run or even craft your own nats your self . for 100 maple short (strung) at low alch 16k while high alch maple short at 24k is a little more like 17k if ybuy the flax at 70 ech for a alch calcuator go to http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=high_alch_calc.htm hope this helps y more then the rest lol james
Zou_Lou
spinning at lumbridge is pretty fast.. abt 1.5k flax per hour. How the hell can you go that fast? I timed it and the best I could do was 1k per hour. Not worth it in my opinion (70 crafting here). Greetings, Zou Lou. Retired from RuinedScape 12/15/07. (65sec) 1 hr (3600sec) gives abt 55 loads.. which is abt 1550 flax. you just gotta know how to play around with the stairs.. then it should b very fast.
