well this may help if you havent gone to far.

you press "SHIFT" and PrintScreen Simultaniosly, then go into paint and click paste and should appear. then save as a PNG file that way the image doesn't get distorted.

yeh, whats up with people thinking you need to press CTRL, ALT and SHIRT for??? theres no need dependin on your keyboard/Lappy #-o

that dang shirt button.. i'm always pressing it :P

yeah, printscreen on it's own will copy the whole screen area. i'd suggest getting a program called Gadwin printscreen. you can set it to take a snapshot of a certain are or a window then auto save it so you don't need to keep messing about with paint.

On the original windows up to about 95 you had to press ctrl print screen

95 and 98 required alt print screen

Its only on 2000/millennium xp and vista that its been switched over to just the print screen button

Which is why people get confused

Uh, no, I still have to tap "Alt + Print Screen" to get just the window.

And "Print Screen" alone has always been a global for the whole screen.

BTW, I've used 3.1, 95, 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP, and I know what I am talking about.
