Ranging with Arrows

I'm planning on getting 99 ranged with arrows soon, and I want to know if anyone knows some answers for me.

Is ranging with bronze arrows any slower than training with iron arrows? I ask only because of cost, but if iron are actually better, I'll buy those. Also, anyone have a ballpark as to how many arrows it will take if I'm not picking them up? I've heard between 500-600k from 70-99 for bronze, but if iron is different I would like to know.

Anyway, that's all I have. If someone knows I'd really appreciate it.

If you got irons, it'd only be a few ten thousand less. For instance, bronze would be 600K, iron would be 570-580K. You're better off buying 600K bronze for 7 each at the general store, pretty dang cheap. :P

The main difference is you seem to hit more often with iron. If your training on expiraments, rock crabs or something with low defence this shouldn't matter. Since your not picking up your arrows i'd say go with bronze since then it wouldn't matter that they break more often. Even though your not picking up arrows i'd highly sugest wearing an accumulater because it could save you like 1-200k arrows and that could cut your price down a couple mill.

Iron hit slightly higher and more often, but they still have the same max as bronze. So if you have the money and want speed go iron, if you want medium speed and dont wanna speed tons get bronze, though if you have the money and want speed i have no idea why you wouldn't do bronze knives at expiraments or rock crabs.

Owing to the new shop update, there is now no "maximum" price in shops. Bronze arrows are available in infinite amounts for 7 gp ea, iron for 20.

Personally I'd go with bronze...
