Genius lyricist, little odd at times, prefered his work with The Smiths, but his solo work is no bad thing by any means.

That pretty much sums it up for me.

"Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

For me The Smiths were one of the greatest band in rock history.

Can't say I realy followed Morrissey's career afterwards. His only 2 solo albums i realy listened to were Viva Hate which was released right after the Smiths broke up and was very "Smithsi" in nature imo, great album.

The other was You Are the Quarry from 2004 which was ok,didnt listen to it since then, cant say i realy miss it.

Btw checkthis thread, 2 more fans there :D

Morrissey is the greatest: is there are a better cure to life's troubles than his lyrics?

His new album is to be released around this time next year, and Russell Brand is doing a documentary to coincide with it. I can't wait.
