Giant spiders - auto-attacking

Featured Replies

Hi, I've been training on the giant spiders for a few days now and can't figure out why they stop attacking me after a while then decide to start again later. Is there anything that stops them attacking me or triggers them to attack me again?

After a period of time, monsters cease to be aggressive towards you. Move away from the area and come back, they will be aggressive again.

Yeah I've tried moving away and that does work but sometimes they seem to start attacking me again.

any other ideas?

I'm unsure as to giant spider levels, but your combat certainly makes a difference. If you're combat level is twice plus one (Monster combat * 2 + 1) of yours then they will cease to be agressive. Exceptions go to monsters like bandits when you wear god items.

Well, where you are training does not always have to be the center of the monster's sort of "zone" or territory. You could be training one step away from it's territory or you could be perfectly in the middle, there's no way to tell but from hours of examining, which is VERY tedious and may not even work. But sometimes you might be on the corner of their zone, step out one step and they will go agressive, and it'll seem like you stayed in it's zone. Other times you'll be perfectly in middle, will walk a decent ammount and end up near the edge thinking you surpassed their zone and they won't be agressive.

Sorry, that might seem a tad confusing :|

There are giant spiders in three locations of the lair. When they stop being aggressive in one location, move on the the other one. The two locations nearest to the entrance to the lair are the best options.
