October 28, 200718 yr My internet, as you can guess, crashes around once every five or ten minutes. It's a wireless connection on a desktop computer. Is there anything i should buy (like a Wireless Internet Card, or something) that will help this? My Connection Speed goes down to like 1 to 12Mbps, and my Signal is always Low or Very Low. Can someone help, please? Most other programs on my computer crash often, too, and it has just started happening this past week or two. Any advice? Clear old files for space or something? ~Thanks~
October 29, 200718 yr How far away are you from a router? I would use a "super-g" adapter, instead of a regular one. With it, I can get about 150 feet, with walls and foliage..but a regular adapter would get a lot less. It's obviously a bad connection, though.. I once shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.Pics or it didn't happen. I hate my generation.

(If you need more information, just ask. I don't really know what would be helpful to solving the problem..)~

(If you need more information, just ask. I don't really know what would be helpful to solving the problem..)~ You don't need a super G wireless adapter because it would be no good with your current wireless network. You would need to have a super G router to be able to use a super G wireless card. A suggestion for people trying to help people next time: Don't help if you don't know what your talking about. You almost cost this person money on something that will be no better than what he currently has. Anyway to the OP, it sounds to me like some interference is on the channel. Try changing the wireless channel in the router's settings. To get there type in "192.168.1.1" on the computer that is wired to the router.
October 30, 200718 yr If it's solely a network/internet problem, the only thing I could tell you is go annoy your ISP or something..lol But if it's an overall performance drop, such as your computer is running a LOT slower....scan for viruses/spyware. Yes, it's the generic answer, but one scan can work miracles. Oh..and I doubt it..but have you downloaded any PTP programs lately, such as Limewire? I had Limewire..and because of constant uploading into Limewire, my computer suffered a heavy performance hit. I deleted it, and *insert generic sound effect*!!!! I had my old computer back ^_^ Seriously though, I'd say scan for Spyware.
