Assuming that it is still true that one cannot return to Ape Atoll after completing Monkey Madness without accepting experience from Daero (I just realized this today, Ugh!!!!):

 

 

 

What is my best option for chin training without using the ape atoll dungeon?

 

I've seen people mention dags, bandits, mage guild zombies, and even the god wars dungeon.

 

 

 

In your opinion is 80 range too early to start using chins?

 

 

 

Lastly, and I realize it would be more appropriate to ask this question in "Graveyard Help and Advice", but should I just take my lumps and accept the experience from Daero (which would give me 47 defense)?

 

 

 

Without being able to go to Ape Atoll, I won't be able to chin train there and the best RFD gloves I will be able to obtain is rune.

I would have to say training any other place than Ape Atoll would be a waste of money and chins.

 

 

 

If you are a pure, which I assume you are, then why ruin yourself with unwanted def exp. Either sell your chins and get levels with bone bolts at Ogres or Lesser/Greaters or use the chins at PC (big waste of money IMO)

 

 

 

Also, the best RfD gloves you could get would be addy since you cannot complete the Monkey part of the quest without gaining your defence exp. (At least I believe so, correct me if I am wrong. And if I am wrong that would mean you COULD in fact get back to Ape Atoll without gaining the exp which would also mean you can cast the Ape Atoll tele as a reward from King A [the monkey from RFD] so you would in fact be able to train your range using chins there :wink: )

Hehe.. You're right, I am confused. :)

 

 

 

If you complete 7 of the RFD subquests, you can buy the rune gloves.

 

 

 

If you complete all of the RFD subquests (there are 8 total), you can buy the dragon gloves.

 

 

 

If you completely finish RFD (all 8 subquests+final battle), you can buy the barrows or dark gloves.

 

 

 

I cannot do one of the subquests because in order to do so, I need to be able to go to ape atoll. In order to go to ape atoll, I must talk to daero. It is my understanding that daero will not let me go until I accept experience.

 

 

 

Unless I accept the defense experience, I am stuck with rune gloves and no chin training at ape atoll.

 

 

 

This is my own fault, I leveled my defense to 20 via combat before I discovered the proper way to level defense (quests).

I'll just have to live without the gloves and (sigh) go back to the ogre cage. :/ I think I will give nicrune's suggestion a try first though, I'd be dumb to not listen to a guy with 99 range.

Yeah, I had a feeling that post-nerf pc at my cb would mean less chin exp.. :/ I have money, but more "santa hat" type money, not "blue phat" type. I see ogres in my future, lots of ogres.
