blade995 Posted October 31, 2007 Share Posted October 31, 2007 Well it depends on what your using your computer for. If the only thing you do is go online and playing runescape, then no. If you do anything else then an upgrade to 1-2GBs of ram would greatly improve performance. EDIT: Mind telling us what you do with your computer? Get at least an Athlon 64 X2 5000+ or Intel Core 2 Duo equivalent. 1-2gb DDR2 667 would be good for RAM. Maybe the entire computer, as well. If you must, I'd upgrade to at least 1GB RAM. Other than that, it's really unnecessary to upgrade. Unless you mean it's getting very slow..slower than it has been. If this is the case, I recommend a spyware/virus scan. I have 160 MB RAM on the computer, and it was running like it had 32 MB for a while. I scanned...now it's fine. Basically, if it ain't broke don't fix it. :D However if you're bent on an upgrade putting in a good gig of ram or two (shouldn't cost more than $50-70) would highly upgrade performance. If an upgrade was necessary, I'd say upgrade the video card...but if you're playing guild wars then your Vcard is probably fine. I'm playing on a 64 mb integrated video card (*shudder*)...but at least it plays well enough ^_^ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
