To be really picky about your definition of Strength, a higher Strength stat doesn't necessarily give you a higher chance of reaching your max hit, but rather it just establishes what your max hit will be. The whole ideology about chances and ratios of landing any hits comes strictly from Attack.

Thats basiclly right.

 

 

 

Higher strength gives you a higher max hit and attack is about how often you get that max hit.
