Most profitable use of gold bars?

Featured Replies

I've got a few hundred gold bars cluttering up my bank and I was wondering what I could do with them to make some good money. Any ideas?

I'd make gold amulets then sell them to the general store

Or make gold bowls out of them for some extra smithing xp(two bars for one bowl, bowl is untradable but can be alched for 420 gp ea

Thanks. Tried bowls... wow, that's tedious! Decided on amulets, but after selling them to the general store, the average price I got for each was a bit over 37 coins.

Any other tricks to turn my gold into... gold?

Make gold bracelets - alch for 300 gp each, take 1 bar for every 1 bracelet.

they alch for 330 gp actually, so alching may be worth it. My best advice is to collect gems whenever you see them. Make then into bracelets and alch or sell, or use. Clay bracelets are very good moneymakers if you mine and sell soft clay.

Collect gems. Make gold jewelery (with gems) Alch them, or with a good magic lvl, enchant them, then alch them. Or sell to players.
