You could probably get by with just meleeing them with good armor and a super set + monkfish. But it's not really worth it, unless you get insanely lucky with a dragon drop or something. Burthope it unless you want the small challenge.

not really, those numbers are based off a very small amount of people. it is usually 300 or more

No need to fight them. Bad exp, loss of money almost all the time. A steel or iron might be a gamble with a small chance of winning, but bronze has about 25% chance at best to break even or make a profit.

If you want to kill metal dragons, go for the Iron/Steel ones.
