Ok, I removed the jewelry since that seems to be taking the most heat. But I still don't see why mage armors require less defense than range/melee or why chaps/vambs don't have the requirements of the body.

 

 

 

And I am not discriminating against pures in any way. I simply think they should have a more severe penalty for having low defense. I apologize if saying "screw the pures" cam off the wrong way. What I meant is that this isn't about what pures will say/do/think.

I'd support dragonhide armour and mystic robes to have those defence requirements, but I don't agree with the Fire Cape (if you managed to kill Jad with 1 def, you still deserve the Cape), Amulets (it'd make to sense to need some skill to don and use some armour, but not some piece of jewellery, or RFD gloves (the QP requirement and the monsters you have to kill are more than enough to get the dragon/barrows gloves)

all right first off how are people w/ 1 def wearing good armor in the first place. secondly, d'hide is fine as it is considering there is karils armor which powns d hide. Lets not forget third age either. then you've got got the dragonfire and crystal shields. mage armor rarely gives you any def bonuses other than mage. so basically an all around bad idea.

 

 

 

why not let jagex do their job and you pay them whether you like them or not.

I think the melee defence dhide gives you at such a low lvl requirement (1 defence..) is ridiculous. When I RC i wear the max mage defence bonus i can by wearing dhide, bear hat (forget what its called), etc. And my crush bonus is bigger than my mage bonus.

Fire Cape: 70 defense. This thing blows all other capes out of the water stat wise.

Thats not the point, the point is they're not exactly the easiest things to get already. but in my opinion if you beat the RFD quest or kill jad, those items are yours to use pure or no.

No, I don't hate pures. I just think that armor has no place on someone with low defense. I can't wield rune weaponry at level 1 attack, why should people get black dragonhide at level 1 defense? That just makes no sense at all to me.

 

 

 

Granite armor requires 50 defense and strength, but Mystic requires 40 magic and 20 defense? No, it should match like almost all other armors with multiple requirements.

 

 

 

And from what I hear, Fight Caves are not the most difficult thing to do considering prayer switching can prevent all damage and its a safe mini game.
