unknowable
It's got about 40 layers, so it wasn't that simple :P The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive
pryomancer
I could do that in 3 layers... I'm not really a fan of it. It's too simple, there's no obvious skill or manipulation.
venomai
Pretty neat, it reminds of modern art. The colours are a bit too soft. Make sure you use the pen tool when your shapes are this simple. It will make them a lot sharper. The font is a bit boxy IMO. It looks like a type writer, which is a bit old fashioned for a "modern" piece like this. If the colours were rainbow (think of The Coke Side of Life ads) it might look even better. Keep at it. :) It's too simple, there's no obvious skill or manipulation. It's original, follows some elements of design, doesn't have any stolen art and it doesn't involve random brushing/filtering. So, it's immediately better than a lot of the crap you find on TIF these days.
pryomancer
It looks like he just used the shape tool and filled it with colour. :?
unknowable
The wrenches and saws indeed look a bit rough, but that was just me with the pen tool alone, so it came out pretty nice for my hands :P @Pryomancer: I can assure, it's completely made with the pen tool. Shape tool is for noobs! :D I want to keep maximum control over my whole piece, so I can change things wherever I want, without troubles. If you make this with three layers, and you make just one mistake and don't notice, you're pretty much screwed :P The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive The Beehive
pryomancer
I agree, non-destructive methodology is the best way to go when using Photoshop, or designing in general. But the finished article is what gets you noticed, not how easily able to edit it is.
