WC are the best?

Featured Replies

Heya! Shad0w V here, i have a question about wc/fletch.

Im currently fletching 1k willows to 50-53 fletch, when i get there i will do maple bows until i can do yews so i can make soem money..

Then i have soem questions:

1. How should i do to make a profit on yew longs, like how much bs is and bow and put togheter and how much to sell and stuff like that.

2. how much cash could i make in 1 month through cuttin and sellin yews?

Are wc really this easy? my main Mastermonker have 63 wc, ive had him 3-4 years and my new pure have gotten 67 wc in lower than a week, its crazy that i got this high this fast and i hope i will get 99 wc in 2-4 months and make a multi million profit on fletching.

Unless you want woodcutting experience, I personally would buy all the willows you need for 70. The amount of money you could make by the time you finish cutting them outweighs the money you save. Once you reach 70, buy yews and bowstrings in 1k increments, I'm not to sure about the current price, but you will make a profit. Also, making money is slower since "string x," I could previously string 3k bows in an hour but now i do 1k. The amount of money you make in a month depends on how often you play. I'd say over two hours (including buying/selling time) you can do 1k or so bows.

EDIT:About cutting your own yews, this could work but you will need much higher woodcutting than you have right now (85+) to be anywhere near efficient.

Im totally broke i have 0 GP atm, bought guthix robe top and bottom and all pages for my guth book for the cash XD (550k wasted :o)

EDIT TO ANSWER PANTHERS EDIT: I can cut yews pretty fast at my lvl (1 inventory 4-5 mins)

It would still be faster to make 30k (for 1k willows) than to cut 1k.

Ok so some random calculations:

28*12=336(amount of logs you get in one hour according to you)

to get 1000 logs you need to cut about 3 hours.

selling the logs right now would get you 380k(yews change a lot though, be warned).

profit per hour=126.6k

buy 1k bowstrings at 180 each=180k

total cost so far=180k

cutting and string=2 hours

sell at 600 each=600k

profit per hour(over 5 hours including cutting)=122.5k/hour cutting and stringing yew longs

buying materials:

yews 380 each + bowstrings 180 each=560k

string and cut=2 hours

sell for 600k=40k profit

over two hours=20k profit/hour

wow that second one seems terrible, when I used to do it yews and bs were much lower and i got 150k+ an hour. it seems fletching is just used to get 99 capes now :(

and btw, I was woodcutting while posting this and got 75, and a spirit tree seed 2 seconds later \'

There is no profit in making and alching yew longbows. The profit is in the resource skills that support it: cutting the yews, picking the flax, spinning the flax, mining the ess and crafting the natures. If you take the value of all those resources and compare that to the 768 you get from the bow, that part actually loses money.

yep, and if you notice the cutting yews was still better than cutting and stringing.
