Is this good?

I've been playing around with my method a bit. Heres my new one.

Order I kill In Dharok>Karil>Ahrim>Verac>Torag>Guthan

(I pray on the underlined names)

First Kill: Dharok

Tunnel-I love getting a Dharok tunnel, I can fight him with a safespot and make a run with no prayer potions used.

Tomb-I tend to get my mage bonus as high as I can with him (by removing armor if I have space and wearing hides instead) then pray and kill. Most of the time I kill him without needing to drink, but I never let my prayer drop below 18 because it's to risky with Dharok.

Second Kill: Karil

Tunnel-I hate getting this as my tunnel, but when I do I fight him at the chest so I can expect him and have time to prepare.

Tomb- I pot up with my combat potion and switch to my dds. 4 specs sometimes puts him near death, but sometimes it hits 0's eight times. I use leftover prayer from dharok on him and can manage to finish him off no-prayer but most of the time I just drink because it's less hassle.

Third Kill: Ahrim

-This is by far my most hated tunnel. I'm running around in torags and he pops out of no where and hits me hard before I can even switch to hides. I always fight him at the chest if I can.

-In his crypt Ahrim is not so bad. I use a rune crossbow with emerald bolts (poison ftw). I prefer it over msb because its more accurate and I can make the ammunition myself. After I get 70 range I'll start using a Karil's Crossbow so I can put all those bolt-rack drops to use. Anyways, I always kill him with a sidestep just because it's safer and easier imo. My prayer runs out during this fight and I don't restore it.

Fourth Kill: Verac

- Verac is my second favorite tunnel buddy. Safespots ftw.

- In his tomb I always use a sidestep. His set effect can hit faster than I can eat and it has done so before. I am not praying on him so he's a bit more dangerous than with my old method.

Torag/Guthan

-I Fight these guys in the tunnel the same way as their crypts.

-These guys are easy....

Roberthree.. okay, here are my comments and suggestions.

Two main observations:

1. You are taking too long to do each run.

2. You are bringing with way too much specialty equipment.

What many people who Barrows for money don't realize is the importance of the "time is money" equation. They focus on saving prayer pots or using the cheapest food or whatnot but do not look at the reward side of the equation: the faster you do a run the more rewards you get, and the rewards are so good that they pay for any costs you incur in doing the trips.

My main recommendation would be to try something completely different: give my single run Ultimate Power Barrows method a try. You should be high enough level to do this without too much difficulty.

If you want to modify your existing methods, my suggestions:

1. Start using Sara brews, super restores, super attacks and super strengths. They make a world of difference.

2. Ditch the Torags, it really doesn't help you much at all. Bring with Veracs or at least monks' robes to wear when you are maging with prayer, on Dharok and Verac.

3. Forget about ranging Ahrim, you are wasting slots on extra equipment. Fight him using DDS specs, with enhancement prayers. He dies very quickly.

4. A kill count of 12 is sufficient for the best rewards. I've tested this extensively.

5. Consider a "Verac avoidance" technique. Simply put.. never go into his tomb, always fight him in a safespot in the tunnels by flushing him out. It makes things a little slower but saves a lot of hassle.

6. Don't be afraid to use p pot doses if you need them and if they speed up your trips.

7. Use super energy pots when needed so you don't waste time walking.

2. You are bringing with way too much specialty equipment.

What many people who Barrows for money don't realize is the importance of the "time is money" equation.

These two statements contradict each other. Bringing my "specialty equipment" (A rune crossbow and DDS) allows me to get kills significantly faster at the cost of 2 pieces of food. I have tried meleeing ahrim and killing karil without my DDS, it's alot slower. I never use that much food anyways.

And I find that the extra 5 seconds or so I spend on precautions like sidestepping are unimportant. Flushing verac is a major waste of time imo because he is one of the easier guys. I only bother with flushing Dharok for obvious reasons, the others are not a problem with a side step. I don't feel like having 2 tunnel buddies each trip and like you said, time is money. Extra ppots don't speed up my trip much (A collective 15 seconds eating would no longer be needed, woot?) but increase my costs dramatically.

Please don't take this the wrong way; your combat stats are all 90+. Some things you may find easy are alot harder for my 70s.

And everyone: I know I need verac's. It's on my to-do list.
