SwreeTak
Hello! Thanks for checking out this thread. I'm currently in the need of help. I'm a pretty new member, and I haven't done more than a few, very easy members quest (Elemental Workshop 1, Gertrude's cat and Lost city). I have trained to level 50 ranging in the F2P world, and now I don't got any idea of where I should train, what arrows are the best for me, what bow I should wear or what food is the best for me. I post this because I think, well, I know that there are many ranging pro's here on Tip.It which I thought might be able to help me. Here are my skills; The ranging equipment I have got at the moment is a set of blue dragonhide ranging equipment, 2,2k addy arrows and 1,6k steel arrows. I have got pretty much cash, so that won't be a problem. My goal is to get level 70 ranging. Thank you for reading this. A even bigger thank you if you help me with my problems of where to train, what to wear and so on for going from level 50 ranging to level 70 ranging. Umoria
I would never use addy or steel arrows for training. Well, steel, probably, but bronze and iron are far cheaper. Knives is best to train with. And spots...well, plenty of them. Just be sure there are alot of creatures arround. Moss Giants are good, but at peak times, this is a busy spot. SwreeTak
Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Anyone have any more? Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
Dexek
I suggest using either iron knives, iron darts, or bone bolts. I would definitely choose bone bolts due to their cheap price, decent fire rate, low bolt loss rate, and high damage. To get bone bolts you can either buy from other players, or from the Dorgeshuun weaponry shop. There is a required quest to reach the shop, but it is short and simple. The quest it called "The Lost Tribe", and once you complete it, you can use the Dorgeshuun weaponry shop. The Dorgeshuun crossbow, which is needed to shoot the bolts, costs 2k in the shop. The bolts themselves are 4gp each. I myself just buy 10k at a time, and then withdraw 2.5k at a time for ranging. I would suggest training on moss giants until you reach at least 60+ range. Some great spots are the moss giants North-west of the fishing guild (north of Ardougne), and the moss giants, on the Moss Giant Island. This island is located on the west side of Brimhaven. To reach this island, you must use a rope swing, which requires a certain agility level. I do not remember the agility level, but 10 would be safe. I can't check at the moment because I am on a public computer. Good luck with the ranging. : PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape
Nopheo
If you got the cash then I would say use a cannon at daggonoths under the lighthouse. You will need to do horrors from the deep quest which is good cause that is where you get prayer books. Idk your stats but you can either melee or range while loading the cannon up and getting fast exp. Cannon is good for training until you reach about 70.
