Fred_Phred Posted November 21, 2007 Share Posted November 21, 2007 Something tells me I already know the answer to this from seeing other complaints about customer service but I've got a problem with my account and could really use the help of a live person at Jagex. The credit card I use for RS was lost. I got a new one and didn't see messages from Jagex that they were trying to charge my membership to the old card until it was too late. So now my membership is up and it won't let me use the new card. It says they are already attempting to process a payment for my account? Whatever that means! Usually companies want to take your money! :)Try canceling your membership first, so it won't be charged off of your old credit. Also, Jagex will soon contact you through your Runescape Inbox. They have so many other things to attend to at the office, so it may take a while. Yagami Posted November 21, 2007 Share Posted November 21, 2007 I believe there is a way of cancelling your membership by just entering your RS account password, do that, and then subscribe with the new card. I've had problems like this before, I cancelled with my password. Good luck. : I would like to get the most difficult 99 in the game to accomplish. which is woodcutting. because I had a drunken night in philadelphia and sprayed a fire extinguiser, evacuated a 7 story hotel on the philly stadium, spent the night in jail.. then got on level 2 prob & have to pay 50 a month because I have a job. Here's the deal - the messages from Jagex originally told me to cancel my membership and resubscribe but the final message said jsut to click on "Start a new subscription" I've tried both ways now. I did find out how to cancel without the old credit card. There was another link in small print. I took a closer look after I read all of your input. Any other ideas? btw, the message when I enter my cc info is: We are currently trying to process a payment for the user "fred_phred". Please wait 5 minutes, then resubmit the form to try again. That card was lost and the bank replaced it with one with a different number. 2. Tried to log on today and it said something to the effect that I needed to log onto f2p server or pay for a memebership (I am a member) 3. looked at my messages from Jagex and over the last couple of days saying they were having a problem billing my account (obviously because the old card was no longer active). 4. Earlier messages said to change cards cancel membership and sign up again. Last message said membership was ended and go to start new subscription to regain membership. 5. Tried to start new membership (putting all contact detail and payment detail in) but it gave me this error: We are currently trying to process a payment for the user "fred_phred". Please wait 5 minutes, then resubmit the form to try again. If this problem persists, please try again later. 6. Tried cancelling subscription and signing up again. At first I thought I needed my old credit card number but thanks to your help I noticed a link in small print that allowed me to cancel with just my password. 7. After cancelling, I tried to sign up again (thru "start a new subscription") and got same error as number 5. 8. When you Cancelled your membership the first time, and Jagex sent you a message stating your membership has been canceled, it was from that. Also, The processing of the payment meens that It's in the process of ending the credit card subscribtion, I think. Contact Jagex through the Official Runescape Website stating the error you have when it comes up. They should reply sooner or later.
