What to range with?

I'm level 70 ranging and got a task of 161 fire giants which I want range, but I haven't ranged since before the update to crossbows so I wonder if I should use my magic shortbow or my rune xbow?

I'd say bone bolts.

 

 

 

1. It's about as good as rune c bow with mithril/adamant bolts.

 

 

 

2. Very cheap 4gp per bolt.

No I used magic short bow too 90 or so and used chinchompas for the last levels.

 

 

 

I tested the bone bow and it's very efficient.

I would preffer the bone bolts and the bone c'bow.

 

Cheap, easy and good to kill with. I use it ever since I finished the related quest to use it. And it's a realy good weapon for training. Even up to 99.

Like everyone else said, bone bolts are the way to go.

 

 

 

Zammy book is what I use, so I suggest using that.

You should definitely (especially with your range lvl) purchase the Dorgeshuun crossbow for 2k first, and then buy bone bolts for only 4 gp each in the shop. This way is great since for 10k bolts, you will only need 40k.
