what is the best weapon and armour to beat the barrelchest monster

 

i only have 70 strength and 63defence

 

is it better to use poison/melee or range or mage this thing

 

it keeps hitting 20,s and nearly killing me

 

what do i do

RFD gloves

 

Best cape you got, legends if you think you'll be dieing in the attempt, though unlikely IMO.

 

Ring of life

 

 

 

A high defence setup that should be able to get you through, bring super sets and a dds with sharks.

 

 

 

If you still can't do it bring sara pots with a sup set (minus the sup def) which has all 4 doses in strenght and attack.

must admit i havent got half of those items u listed.

 

guess ill have to wait awhile before i can complete this quest

 

have helm and cape but rest is rune full and no decent boots or gloves

Don't bring anything, let him kill you on the first attempt. When you come back, he shouldn't be aggressive to you, so you should have enough time to wait until he gets behind some benches, which will allow you to mage him safely.

Well, yes, I discovered this by myself. Got killed when I tried to melee him, so then I brought bind/snare runs and some deaths. When I came in, he didn't attack me, so I waited until he was behind the pews and attacked him. It's true that he can attack over one pew, but not over several of them. (He was in one end of the church and I was in the other one when I killed him). Hope this helps!
