Ok, so most of you know I recently bought my 360. It's going fine so far..but it's getting quite hot sometimes. Not warm, HOT. I had it standing next to my T V...so I thought that the problem was not enough ventilation space. So I moved it elsewhere..now it is horizontal on top of my VCR. I got done with an Oblivion gaming session (woot)...and decided to check. It wasn't hot at all, barely even warm, on the side facing my ceiling. But then I lifted it up..it was warm on the side sitting on the VCR! I checked, the VCR doesn't vent from the top.

 

 

 

So..what's my problem? I have 6" in the back for it to ventilate, everywhere else has a few feet. Does it vent out of the side it's sitting on? Do I need to put it elsewhere?

If your like me put it standing up with ALL vents clear.

I tried it standing next to my TV standing up..but it didn't have that much room around it, it's a crowded space. I put my PS2 there. Should I see if there's a place I can put it somewhere else?

Ok, thanks. Just another question..how loud is the Intercooler? I've noticed that the 360 can be loud, but it becomes almost unoticeable after a while..is the intercooler a loud add-on to the 360 or is it quieter?

Ya but, out of everyone I know who has a 360 (which is like 10-15 :P ) none of them have a had a problem with it overheating. :

I wouldnt recommend an intercooler. Tons of negative reviews with people saying that it melted the 360 or the intercooler takes up too much power and it caused system failure.
