Question: Remove Center Channel

I'm looking to remove the vocals from a bunch of songs. I know there are tons of programs that you can pay anywhere from 30-500$ that can accomplish this...but since I'm a poor loser who plays Runescape (:P), I'm looking for a free alternative.

 

 

 

 

 

Anyone know of a free program or a manual way to do it? I have audacity btw.....but I'm pretty darn sure that won't do much :wink:

Try download.com or try getting Sony Vegas, there is a way to get a free version but I don't think I would be allowed to share that on this forum.

I am afraid you're gonna be a little bit disappointed.

 

 

 

It's not possible to 100% remove the vocals from a piece of music, what you end up with is pretty horrible with lots of artifacts, especially that horrible watery effect.

Yeah...I kinda figured that out.

 

 

 

 

 

The audacity thing didn't fix it, I found a couple free programs that made it sound HORRIBLE.
