Does Str only raise your max hit?

Im having this prayer/str/attk -type of person in training and i was using the max hit calc to calculate how much i can hit.

 

 

 

So if its says i hit 6 now and i try adding a str prayer and a str potion and it still says my max hit is 6, is there any point in using str pots or str prayers?

 

 

 

Or do they help me make high hits more often, or is that what attk does???

I guess your max hit is too low. They both raise strength at a percentage.

I'n not totally sure, but when i use a strength pot, i find myself hitting higher on average even without the hits above my regular max.

Not sure. Even if that were true, having that low of hits (6), it wouldn't make a noticable difference to spend the money on strength pots. So I wouldn't use strength pots and your prayer, for now anyways.

Attack determines how often you hit.

If you tell me the prayer you are using and your strength level, I can figure out what your strength would be raised to

Prehaps your level is too low, try raising it a bit.

its pretty simple really, str pots and prayer raise your str by a certain percentage. so if your str lvl is One, 15% ( that how much ultimate str prayer raises it) is less then 1 lvl, however if you have 50 str, 15% is 7.5, so the higher your str the higher str pots/prayer will you raise it.

Yeah true my lvl is still very low... So if str potion raises my str by 15% and im using superhuman str the total is 25%???

 

 

 

Okay attk raises how often u hit but also does it raise how much damage u make in avarege? Or is that str? IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôd also like to think that str raises your avarege hit too.

If you've ever played D&D it'd be much easier to understand. Attack is like a bonus to your attack roll, and strength is like hitting a d10 instead of a d8.

 

 

 

That means:

 

You've got a chance to hit, depending on your attack and your opponents defence (and your attack and his defence bonuses). If you fail, you'll hit a 0. If you hit, you'll hit a random number between 1 and your max. A higher str level means that your max hit is higher.

Okay thank you for clarifying that too even though i didnt understand the D&D thing... So in other words if my prayer or str pot doesnt raise my max hit, then its better not to waste them.

for now do not waste str pots (they can cost a lot in f2p) you can still use str pray if you dont mind walking to an altar to recharge prayer

 

and as ppl said b4: atk will determine how often you hit

so if some one has 99 str and 5 atk his max hit would be 13 ( i think) but they would mostly hit 0's because they won't be able to attack acurately

yeah i can use the str prayer but it wont make a difference if it doesnt raise my max hit since the avarege hit is always something between the min hit and the max hit so again if the prayer or whatever thing doesnt raise the max hit it doesnt raise yout avarege hit either. Thats what i wanted to know, thank you!
