Smackapotato
Willows seem to be the fastest(about 30k+ and hour, maybe 35k), and due to the GE, the price of maples is low(in case you wanted to sell them), so I'd go with willows. That is if you don't care about money, if you want money, go with yews, or maples(once the price goes back up a little) I'm pretty much saying, go with Willows. EDIT - Signature far exceeds our sig limits but since it's so colourful you can keep it.
Umoria
Willows. You can cut down willows faster then maple. So keep up with the willows till 90 and by then, try maple. Just cut maples for 10 minutes and the total exp x 6= hour exp. Compare that with willows, and you know what to do from level 90 wc. Good luck! "We had gay burglars the other night. They broke in and rearranged the furniture."

magicrune
Fastest way possible is willows all the way till 99 indeed, but i suggest that at 85-90 you go yews with a dragon axe. The xp will be a little lower then, but you make some money (which is what woodcutting is for right ;)) 99 fletch99 Woodcutting
