iron darts or knives?

Featured Replies

This is my logic but i'm not sure if its right or not. Darts are 10 per bar knives are 5. Zybez says that knives are 38-40 ea, and darts are 30 ea. I am currently making 11k iron ores into bars for 73 smithing(addy bolts ftw!) I figure I make into darts, sell a little more than half, making the money I would have made if I sold knives, and still have some to train.

Bear this in mind: not many people like darts. Much harder to sell, wheras knives will be snapped up fast.

And count in feather costs.

And for personal, darts arn't as good for training.

The only downside to darts is that you require feathers for them. As long as you are able to get the cheaply enough, darts are better than knives.

This signature is intentionally left blank.

Grex iron dart prices dropped into the 16-21 range per dart and even then, my 4k worth didn't sell. Its seems that darts aren't as "big" as knives for the value even though you get twice as many darts per bar.

Knives are better all around.

To sell, and to use for training, you can see two hit splashes with knives at a time, yet with darts, only one.
