Just wondering if you wield them or just keep them in your inventory and then just "Use" them when needed in a slayer task... ?

keep in your inventory and "use"

Attack them like any other monster and when they are low on life "use" it on them, so yes you can use any weapon you desire.

You can't weild them, once you get it to low health, use it on it.
