Who's the real problem: RWTs or Jagex?

Has anyone actually payed attention to the people who are forced to trade the gold for money? What will happen to them now? No money to feed their families.

So Jagex today became directly responsible for people losing their jobs and indirectly responsible for people dying of starvation.

Sure, a pretty crazy scenario but it does make sense if you piece it together...

The real world traders are the problem.

As for your statistics, they won't be going hungry. They have all those stolen credit cards, ya'know?

The update came at 6:30am eastern, which would be about 7:30 pm in many of the goldfarming companies. So chances are they were finishing up the day of goldfarming, transferring to the account when BAM.

Supervisor comes up to the group:

"I don't know how to say this...but we're screwed."

To which I'm sure most of them put up their fists and yelled (in Chinese)

"TO AZEROTH!"

I just hope they don't migrate to Tabula Rasa.

lets say this update is 100% successful is stopping RWT in RS.

Nothing like what you said will actually come about to the people no matter how low down they are on the RWT work scale. If like what the news reports would have us believe RWT is done by large gangs then all that will happen is that they will move any persons involved in the RS side of gold farming onto another game and have them farm on that one instead.

The only way anyone would but at serious risk is if the RWT place where all the PC's are set up was raided by police etc.

I'd like to talk about MechScape first; one of Jagex's new trademarks. I'm guessing that Jagex will make Mechscape (The new rumoured MMORPG by Jagex) with in mind with the fact that it will not have Maroers/Bots/Autoers/Real World Traders. Will this make the game bad? No. You probably won't get people complaining that merchenting is gone because it won't have been there in the first place. The fact is that people don't like change as mentioned in the "Change!" Tip.it Times:

"Change!

As many might have noticed, Runescape is an ever changing game. Almost every week a new update is released. Considering the complexity and size the game has achieved, every single change can have uncountable consequences. Their impact ranges from the blatantly obvious to barely noticeable. As we all know there̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a constant to all these updates: Players will rant about it.

You might think now: ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅWhat is he going to do? Rant about ranting?̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Current Goal: 99 Woodcutting

Yeah! What were those idiots thinking, being born in 3rd-world countries with no options available to them? Sheesh!!! :-s

Maybe this will make them think twice about where to spend their next lives, huh?

Are you one of those person who think, well since I'm better then them and I dont need to worry I shall look down at them and say, who cares about your life and your family? They are born into this state. You make it seem like it's their fault. It isn't.

I think it was the Runescape community. I remember back in the old days Jagex released 2 quests a month, and that was it. People kept complaining to Jagex to release better and bigger updates. Now Jagex finally listens and realeases big updates, but nobody is happy. : :(
