Jagex was left with no choice but to completely stuff their own game and lose a lot of their revenue to stop GP transfer. Who really lost? People who made some cash via their game or the company who is now going to lose a large portion of their userbase?

Most of you don't know who I am, I presume, and if you don't, don't ask, if you do, you shouldn't care, but I must say: I have seen Jagex do similar things to curb autoing, account sales, gold exchange, and other things. (Case and point: removal of runescape classic) Each of them has caused large amounts of legit players to flip 'em the bird and walk off - either permanently or for at least a year. So when people say they will leave, I wouldn't take for granted that they don't sincerely mean it.

They've just stuffed their own game. No free market means communism.
