Jagex officially rids their game of RWT's!

Featured Replies

Congratulations Jagex,

You have succeeded at making your game so terrible, no one in their right mind would pay for in-game items.

With all the recent changes, runescape now feels like a completely moderated game. You can't do anything now, without it having a set limit. New players will still play runescape, but those of us that like the game for the old way, it's time for us to move on.

Sorry, I can't elaborate more on this post, as I have class, but those who want to leave their opinions, go right ahead.

Btw, if you want to post "give it a chance", again, feel free to do so, however, I won't give it a chance. I don't want to have to adapt to a completely new game. I liked it before without all the restrictions. If this meant a game full of cheaters, I wouldn't care, because it was much easier to adapt to them, then to the recent changes.

I liked the game years ago, before the wilderness ditch, which is an ok update.

When autoing wasnt so bad, and you didn't have those spammers in every word spamming go to rsgp.com! 1m/4.99 crap.

I liked it when the skill capes JUST came out.

its almost true

Wow.. just wow. I was thinking of coming back for Summoning, but the friendliness of this game has definitely been killed by RWT.

They've rid the game of RWTers, sure. But they've also rid it of many good players.

EDIT: 500th post.

Treasure trail items: 9

Dragon drops: 0

I love irony... They put in this garbage to kill RWT because they believe it is ruining the game. When in reality its really doing nothing at all. And in the process they slaughter their game and bury it on the moon. Justified.

I started in 2001, i enjoy rune mining and now I can't even walk to rune rocks without NPC's hitting 30's and killing me.

Always accepting burnt Lobs!

runescape is a different game today,

its not the rwts that are quitting too but the people who loved rs the most.

Maybe Jagex will go out of business and give us the source code for free... then we could set up private servers with the game functioning the right way.

  • Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.
  • Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.

I was thinking about going back to classic. Hope my account can still play <3:

I have always defended jagex, not any more what the hell are they doing..

I don't play much any more but hell I'm just going to go right ahead and quit now..

well i guess i gotta get my party hat back from my brother asap... before you can't do unequal trades

i think thats dumb, me and my brothers would always help eachother out and give eachother stuff, cause ya.... thats what this game was about.

Me too, ive never bashed an update before but this is diabolical, what were they thinking?

Rs is a great game partly due to the freedom that you have in the community and with friends online, but there slowly stripping that away. You can't do anything anymore, and once january comes even giving a simple present will be ruined., not to mention merchanting.

Goodbye Runescape.

+1

I quit playing in early August, but have kept track of the updates since then. Wow, 2007 was a year of hell (maybe the end?) for Runescape. By the looks of it, I will not be coming back anytime soon; if ever.

Damn, and I thought when they changed staking it was bad, but this is just crazy.

Well, enjoy summoning? :uhh:

i could live with the staking cap, the limits of the grand ex, and i could probably go on playing with a controlled wildy.

unfortunately in january the single best part of this game for me will be taken away.

with the trading contraints. shares from monster hunts will not be possible unless you got the drop yourself, so what will be the point of having any team bosses anymore? also, drop parties, giving gifts to friends, recieving gifts, loaning money, getting paid back and multiple other methods of just old fashion trading will be gone.

jagex you shot yourself in the foot, gl on recovering.

personally i may stay around for summoning idk yet (181 member days left). the only good from this could be that some training spot my open up from the mass of people that claim to be quiting, we'll see how it plays out tho.

true rs is kinda ruined

the rs we knew will never be the same

i could feel this coming when ge came out

then in the bts the announcement of the mini games and stuff it was kinda obvious this was gonna happen...

i guess jagex gonna do something about this since like half of the good players are quitting because it really is a tiranny... this is dead to merchanting, to pking, to rs, to everyting :s

or the guys at jagex drunk to much when they did this update or summoning will be so good that everyone stays ...

bye bye pking...the only reason i even played this game.

I say play it for a week and wait for the tweeks to the system. Jagex took a big step but think about it; you'd still be whining if they didn't do this. You have to think as jagex as a company and think what they gain from this. Jagex can't please everybody although this was not the way no one is pleased with this update.

i doubt summoning will be any good. It doesn't even sound like a good skill IMO. They should have added it as an expansion to another skill
