I got veryyy bored today so i decided to make my very first pixel sig on paint. I dont really know how to shade so :? There needs to be more in the background i know and the guy looks a bit weird, but i wanna know what ya'll think.

He looks like a murderer or something, you need to sort out the horizon line, add some more things into the back like hills trees etc, the character looks kinda weird like hes got a beer belly so you might wanna give him an exercise (a better looking body) .. Also try make the sky less pitch black.. make it very dark-blue to black when your shading it, youve basically got distances sorted and the house looks good.. Maybe you should add all the light coming from that fire, make it much larger.

I also have a question, do people that make those veryyy nice pixel sigs use paint or another program?
