Have you had anything about colour theory?

I don't like the blue on the yellow and the circles on each other with absolutely nothing else. It's hard on the eyes...

@ Gehackte: This is color theory. Usually after a bit your eyes just get used to good color usage, but it's heavily recommended you read that. Right now the color scheme you have is, well, 'ouch'.

To become a real, and a good artist, you need:

 

Colour theory

 

Perspective drawing

 

Anatomy

 

Composition

Yeah, definitely. Out of these the most important (IMO) are Color theory and Composition. Without these you really don't have much to fall back on.

Btw, if you posted something like this on http://www.conceptart.org with that composition, and colours, it would get ripped to pieces, jumped on, punched in the teeth, then slowly build up, to get ripped etc, until it's perfect.

Cool site, looks like a "CGTalk/CGSociety" for concept art.

The site is really good, many pros that goes on that forum. But their crits really hurt sometimes. But it helps so much.
